The problem turned out to be that regular socks soaked up the cream more than my heels. The gel lining on the heels of these socks made a big difference. I wear a size 10 1/2 and have normal legs. I ordered a large 3 pack based on her size chart and figured my wife might need a pair as well. She wears a women's size 9 1/2 and also has normal legs.
