First I want to say that I love this pen. I have a problem with that, but I'll get to that later. The pen writes a thick, smooth line and I haven't had a problem with too much ink seeping onto the page after just dipping it in the ink. A dip in ink lasts much longer than metal-tipped pens, and it's easier to tell when a pen is running out of ink.
