It's lighter and softer for beginners. It was bought for 8 and 10 year old kids who just started playing. But they began to separate only after 2 indoor training sessions and games. I have older kids who have been playing for years and have never seen a ball wear out so quickly. Wouldn't recommend it.

We bought this for my daughter for Christmas and after just a few days it started to have color separations (see photo for reference but the logo areas don't - just elsewhere! ). The ball is not crowded so I am very disappointed with how it is carried. It also appears to be harder than the 12U balls she uses in club volleyball.

I bought this for my 9 year old daughter for her first season of volleyball. She loves the color and the fact that this ball doesn't hurt as much as the one we had her choose first (Wilson Graffiti is a cute hard ball). The ball didn't inflate, but since I had a pump, that wasn't a problem for me. She often plays with him, and until the seams pull and do not come apart.

But! The ball is lighter and more comfortable than the old Eddie Bauer ball I had. I have a torn rotator cuff so it was a bit difficult for me to play with a heavier ball. The weight and feel of this melted ball has allowed me to play for hours and no longer feel pain in my shoulder as it is easier to play with. Highly recommended for teenagers and beginners. LOVE the colors!

I bought this ball to get to know my kids. One that won't be as painful or as hard for her to climb the high trellis. I have tried 7 other balls that claim this. Everyone failed except this one. All had extra pads but apart from this one they still hurt. Most of them were too close to the same size and weight as an adult professional ball. Not suitable for a child weighing 35-50 pounds. So save your time and energy and get this one.

I really liked it, it was very soft and very nice to play with. I liked it very much. They really aren't kidding when they say light touch. Most volleyballs are very difficult to play and I injured my wrist but this one was very soft and very comfortable. The only thing I was hoping for was that it would arrive already inflated. When I opened the package I didn't have a ball pump ready so I had to go to the store and buy one because I was really hoping it would inflate. But it was worth it!
