My son is 3 months old and loves this item! He wants it all the time and it entertains him and helps soothe his gums. He's not holding it very well yet, but it's soft enough that he can easily manipulate it with his hands to bring it to his mouth. Ten points for this strange little mushroom! Be sure to buy!

My son cannot keep the pacifier inside because of the tongue tie. This is a great alternative! At 4 months my son can already hold, suck or chew mushrooms. As with any toy, I'll keep an eye on him while he's using it. It feels durable and easy to clean, but anything and everything sticks to it when it hits the floor. I would definitely recommend it although we will use it with caution after reading some of the other comments where the reviewers felt it was unsafe and a choking hazard.

My son loves this teether but we have recently learned that it can be quite dangerous if turned inside out. In his normal mushroom position, he likes to chew the base occasionally, but my eldest and I turned it inside out to make a cup and gave it back to him.
