This shutter is very easy to install and easy to open and close. No problem when used on cupboard doors with handles. The big problem is closet doors with handles. I have bought five different cabinet locks in the last month and none of them have worked. They either didn't match my cabinet handles, or they broke with a little push, or they were too difficult to unlock for everyday use. I bought them and I really like them. It is easy for an adult to put on and take off, but not for an infant/toddler. The product looks and works more or less as expected, well not so much. Unfortunately the plastic is flimsy and too flexible while it should be strong to not bend. Also, the locking mechanism is too simple. The product does not work well with straight handles that nothing can stick to. I do not recommend this product for a closet that you really want to keep safe. If the kid can't take it off, it also means they can't open the door because it's so easy to take off, so don't take it. After using
