This shutter is very easy to install and easy to open and close. No problem when used on cupboard doors with handles. The big problem is closet doors with handles. The U-shaped portion of the latch fits easily behind a cabinet handle head. Part of the sliding lock does not fit behind the second suitcase handle. You have to move it as close as possible. If you pull the door and forget the latch is on, it will open. Once the child is strong enough and aware of the situation, they can (and will) simply pull the latch and fall off the handles. Thus inefficient. We ended up leaving it on cabinets with handles and rubber band pulls on others.
