I have never had a bad experience with Monoprice products. I bought a set of 5 pairs of banana plugs at the end of October - the first pair of plugs had to be replaced after just a week, the next pair the next day and the next 2 pairs no longer provide a reliable connection today. one month functionality. These Monoprice Banana Plugs (closed screw, gold plated) are pretty good banana plugs for the price. Looks Great: Fully gold plated, thinner than others (but longer). Not all mandatory positions are created equal, so they may be a better match or not at all (rarely). Doesn't really fit my Micca MB42X speakers but they work fine (although easy to pull out). Oddly, they match my Micca OriGain amp stands perfectly. Instructions: Strip the wire about 3/4 inch. Unscrew the bottom of the banana plug.
