That's what you get.

Fantastic value for twice the price. I had a neatly assembled 8 10 foot long guitar cable connected to and from the pedalboard and while it looked good it still looked like it was backstage. This snake has given me back my living room (as it is) and as a bonus I'm 10 feet taller than before and can move my board much easier. Balanced mono really makes a difference by routing the pedals to the recording interface, and it's the snake that's silent. Do not be shy.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • No insurance

Easy and inexpensive way to route cables around the rack

Between preamps, audio interfaces, reverbs, compressors I have a lot of stuff that needs to be wired with TRS connections. I used to have a bunch of black wires running around the back of my box and if I ever had to change anything it was a major hassle. Now that I have a serpentine cable with colored ends, it's really easy to organize. Also, it's a lot cheaper than buying 8 separate TRS cables. I don't know if it will be useful outside of a rack system, but for what I use it for, it works…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

decent multi-pair cable for the money

I bought two of these snakes as part of installing a Presonus ACP-88 multi-channel compressor in a soldering jig. I was able to cut each snake into three usable lengths, prepare the cut ends, and assemble the device with ease. The durability of the molded plugs is questionable, but this is an install, not a permanent plug and unplug. If you're using this in a live scenario I'd suggest routing the snake through a handle or some other way to relieve stress on the connectors. Overall it's worth…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Something else

Great value audio cable

For the price this really can't be beat - I couldn't build my own snakes for the price I paid for it and all I needed was short little snakes to get the audio Interface and some rack gear through the TRS wiring closet in a home studio bedroom. They are perfect for this purpose. Complaints? The brown color-coded cables are too similar to the black, making it difficult to tell channels apart, and the connectors aren't exactly Nuetrik/Switchcraft quality, but for some "set and forget" patching in…
