I'm absolutely amazed at the positive feedback on these connectors, at least with a 23g solid copper cat. they are MUCH worse. They are SLOW to install - I can strip the jacket, sort and cut the conductors and crimp a standard connector in about 45 seconds - faster than I can take a step to thread 8 individual conductors through the insert. I've tried crimping them with several brands of high quality crimping tools and they invariably don't make good mechanical connections, even when used with…

Best RJ45 connector I've ever used

I've made thousands of RJ45 connectors and I'm really good at it. There are cheap ones, there are better ones, but there are very few good ones. This is considered GREAT! First look at the picture. With a normal RJ45 you don't get that close to the pins. Even with through connectors, it's difficult to get that tight into your corners. (You must avoid too many straight wires for optimal data throughput.) Pass-through connectors that require special tools are junk and you're spending a fortune on

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

The Easy Way to Make Ethernet Cables

After unsuccessful attempts to make cables with other connectors, these connectors save lives! It takes a lot of practice to properly line up individual strands for CAT6 without a guide or pass-through connector as I haven't figured this out and have made other types of cables in the past so I'm not a beginner. to something. I used 24AWG CAT6 cable and it's quite narrow so I'm not sure 23AWG will work well with these connectors. Here are my usage tips: 1) Remove the outer shield from the CAT5/6

Pros
  • Rugged Construction
Cons
  • Without a Car
