Best future Ethernet cable for your home

If you're thinking of running an Ethernet cable around your home, this is the cable you should use. The jacket's certification data has been limited to the UL number (E164469-B2). However, based on a quick search of the UL website which found this code to cover most types of CM rated cable, I accept the certificate dates in the Monoprice PDF as accurate. As this is installed in the walls/ceiling, the CMR rating ensures that you will not have any problems with a pre-sale home inspection in most…

Pros
  • Meets ANSI/TIA-568C-2 standards.
Cons
  • No Instructions

Future proof cables and connections

Use of CAT8 for the future. At the moment I don't have anything else that supports 40G. I also believe that better quality will help you get the most out of your current 10G.

Pros
  • Rohs certified.
Cons
  • Functionality

Great price for a quality cable. I would like it gray or black.

Great price for a quality cable. I would like it gray or black. This is a thick cable and I noticed that the Keystone foil tape didn't fully wrap it. I complain? No! I am very happy to have a 40Gbps cable at this price. I'm reinstalling most of my house with this cable as well as with an optical cable. I'll be ready when speeds keep picking up. I really like using the 10G optical backbone and taking advantage of it for redundancy and shorter runs. I am also thinking about building a second…

Pros
  • Supports bandwidths up to 2 GHz.
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

High Product on Ethernet Cables

I am using this CAT8 Ethernet to replace all CAT5E in my house. Although CAT8 is much thicker, it's easy to climb through the walls and ceiling in my basement. I've definitely noticed an improvement in transfer speeds.

Pros
  • Supports data rates up to 40Gbps.
Cons
  • No automatically
