Complete rubbish on antennas

The signal is no different than amplified or straight to the antenna, in fact I can pick up more channels with a paperclip stuck in a coax hole than with this antenna, don't waste it your time or your money.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Good value for money.

Use antenna indoors. Depending on the channel, I have to move it to get the best reception, but I usually get good reception even when the weather degrades the signal.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Hard to remember, but it was

for urban areas with multiple channels

captures stations from different directions well. I got it out there with a short coax cable to a Silicon Dust 4K receiver. No 4K broadcast yet, but I'm ready.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Expensive

Disappointed - antennas

I tested this product on my indoor unit that I wanted to replace to get more channels. The indoor unit recorded 21 channels, while the unamplified Monoprice unit received only 8 channels. With the amp I could only get 5 channels.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Value for money audio and video accessories

This is great value. You get an antenna and amplifier for a pretty good price. However, the reception wasn't as good as I expected. This is about the same as one of their other antennas designed for a shorter distance. It cuts in and out a little less and is much more flexible to set up.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • For seniors

Antenna OK, amplifier useless

Tested on a Tivo with digital signal strength meter so I could try it in different locations around the house. Adding an amplifier actually lowered the signal quality, so it's better to just use an antenna. I ended up buying a different amp that made a significant difference. I have many items from Monoprice but this item was below the usual excellent quality.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure

Do not use a booster

This is the second booster I've tried. The first was one of those little black squares for indoor use. It did not work. I installed it on the roof and it didn't have many channels so I tried without the booster in the row and BINGO. I get all sorts of channels now.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Style 90

The antenna is fine, the amplifier is not good

Tested on Tivo with a digital signal level meter so you can try it in different positions around the house. Adding an amplifier actually lowered the signal quality, so it's better to just use an antenna. I ended up buying a different amp that made a significant difference. I have many items from Monoprice but this item was below the usual excellent quality.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Upgradable
