Good RJ12 connections

Good connections. Reasonable price. Needed a custom length cable for my Yaesu quad band radio with detachable faceplate. These connectors are perfect in every way at a reasonable price!

worked great - A/V accessory

I needed to connect a FiOS phone line from NID to ONT. It worked great. I had a CAT 3 cable on hand and I stripped it and then crimped it with a standard crimping tool. First time works. No crosstalk or noise. Much luck. Jim is from Northern Virginia.

Pros
  • Quick replacement
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Not the best. suitable for audio and video accessories

They are quite cheap. Each crimp, the little tab holding the wire, breaks off leaving the wire quite weak and unreliable in RJ12. Enough movement and the wires will definitely pull out of the connector because nothing is holding them except the prongs on the contacts. But you have good contact.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • No insurance

Works as expected, good for plugs and adapters

Need 1 but at least I have spares in case I make a mistake. I'd go to a radio store for that, but it's hard to survive in a brick-and-mortar store on inexpensive and specialized items. I wish I could do a little more research before buying the rj11 pack first as they do everything they do and then some.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Weak set

Saved my gaming console

50 is overkill for me as I only bought this bag to replace one that broke my gaming console's pedals on the steering wheel. RJ12 6P6C was just what I needed. Along with the crimping tool it was still cheaper than buying a replacement cable which would have been very hard to come by anyway.

  • Wide range of

High quality RJ12 connectors

This is a rather uncommon connector but one that is commonly used on sim racing gear. I think both SimXperience and Fanatec use RJ12 connectors to connect various accessories and if one breaks it can be difficult to find replacement cables. I used the standard RJ45 ethernet crimp tool that also comes with a built in RJ12 tool and it works great. The connections are of high quality and easy to use even for beginners. Simply arrange the colors in the correct order and crimp. These connectorsโ€ฆ

Pros

  • Unbelievable price

Intermittent Connection

Purchased with a Trendnet 6P/8P crimping tool. Not sure if it's the outlet it plugs into, but they make a good connection when fully depressed and held, but when not depressed to allow it to come out to the end of its restricted range , 1 pair of wires was bad / no communication through my mating connector. Tried with solid round and stranded flat cable with the same result. Another brand - Networx 1xRJ11/12 6P6C from Revain - was 100% well connected with multiple cables so I will be usingโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
