Description of 🐴 Monty Roberts Official Lead Line 17 Feet: Optimal Control and Durability for Equine Handling

A good safe length for trailer loading, leading manners and standing still - works well with Monty’s Dually Halter. Easier to hold than round ropes - any size hand can grip the special soft nylon, double stitched to last with a durable brass snap. The perfect length for leading a horse from atop another pony horse - not too much line in your hands but plenty of length to safely lead. Brightly colored blue for easy identification of length - even in the dirt!. A good length to use for Join-Ups in the Round Pen. The weighted end tosses easily and has a soft cushioned cotton core.

Convenience! - Equestrian

Like. I have arthritis in my hands which is easily treated. I wish the BLK was longer to fit the double halter cob I'm about to order🦄

Cons

stays cleaner while riding

This long lead and its material have many great properties. I like it best when it's medicine through dirt and weeds, weeds don't cling to it like other lines I have. Thanks Monte

Lightweight handle is easy to remove. Quality product

Much better on the hands than a nylon strap and easier to use on a pony than a braided rope of the same length. Light but strong. Like all Monty Roberts products, top quality but at a reasonable price.

Fantastic cross-country skiing! Soft but strong!

Super soft but doesn't burn hands as quickly as regular leashes. Great length for lunging or training a horse. During her first visit to the smith, my absence was violently wrenched and restrained, and she would buck and panic if touched. With this Montie on a leash and double bridle she moves fast and I have room to move when she is scared. Monty Roberts Online University demonstrates this leadership in action.

Surprised how much I like this lead line!

I was looking for a lightweight training lead of this length that I could use with a leather cavesson for groundwork. That's great. I cut off the heavier end piece (about 2 feet) so it's now 15 feet. It's very light, the clip is light and not heavy on the nose, it's very soft, cotton but has enough grip so it's not slippery. Can't say anything about durability, let's see how it holds up.

Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Great leash for dog or horse.

I adopted a puppy that I kept IN the house on a long leash until he was allowed to roam freely. Otherwise he would have sneaked into the music room and used the potty quietly. or worse. He bought a 20-foot cotton dog leash at a local pet store, and because it's about 50 percent teeth, he chewed it up in 20 minutes. I chose something more substantial and having that, it's much softer to hold than a cotton or rope leash. It doesn't have a loop on the end, which is a safety feature when you're…
