Description of Moog K5143 Idler Arm

Problem Solver powdered metal gusher bearing design enables grease to flow through the bearing to the stud for reduced friction and enhanced strength and stability. Moog engineered steel composition results in a stronger component. Greaseable socket design allows new lubricant to flush contaminants from the assembly, reducing corrosion and wear. Loose or worn chassis parts can lead to premature tire wear.

Good replacement Chevelle

Factory replaced and worn tensioner on a Chevelle. This device is larger and more powerful than the factory device. Idlener is quite tolerant of abuse, so hopefully this will last for a while.

Design is better than OEM.

Installed easily on my 1969 Buick California GS, the grease fitting was difficult to unscrew, used a padded bushing to force the threads together with little extra force.

  • Intermediate Arms & Parts
Cons
  • Operating Speed

Heavy Duty Replacement Parts

A very well made Moog part. Fixed joint. I'm going to use it on a modified off-road racer, so I don't want budget parts. Delivery in 3 working days, impressive. The company also sent out a free catalogue.

Pros
  • Intermediate Arms
Cons
  • Some Faults

This will NOT fit 1968-1972 A Body

I have a 1970 Cutlass and Revain says this part will fit. I received the part and the mounting arm is not high enough to clear the frame. I had to stop at the original part. sucks. All brakes, suspension and steering are brand new except for the 50 year old intermediate link.

  • Vehicle
Cons
  • Crumpled
