So disappointed. in crankshaft position

Bought this crankshaft position sensor early February 2016 and it has only lasted three and a half years. I decided to give it another chance and bought another one. Died in a month and a week. It's too late to go back and now I don't have $90 plus another crank sensor. Before I switched to Mopar for my Jeep, my previous crankshaft sensor was from Napa Auto Parts and lasted 10 years. Was I wrong to choose Mopar?

Received the wrong part after a long wait for delivery.

When my mechanic went to install the part, the first thing he noticed was that the box that contained the part was open and sealed with tape. When I got the crankshaft position sensor it was not what was described when I bought it and not for my car make and model. Someone must have put the wrong part in a bag marked for a different part. This was very annoying as my mechanic had to drive around trying to find the correct part locally. Not sure who packaged or shipped it but should check and…

Always use OEM if you can afford it or plan to keep it.

Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 1996 Inline Six 4.0. 258,000 miles. I've had problems with the "crankshaft sensor" for years, the crankshaft won't start. Had my mechanic swapped it out and it worked for a few months and then suddenly "works won't start" again. Exchanged and it will be fine for a while. Have been working on these sensors and found the magnets in the aftermarket sensors are worse. Bought this sensor and found the magnet is very strong compared to the aftermarket which probably can't…
