Review on πŸ”§ Mopar 56027280 Crankshaft Position Sensor: Unparalleled Performance and Reliability for Optimum Engine Efficiency by Rolando Munoz

Always use OEM if you can afford it or plan to keep it.

Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 1996 Inline Six 4.0. 258,000 miles. I've had problems with the "crankshaft sensor" for years, the crankshaft won't start. Had my mechanic swapped it out and it worked for a few months and then suddenly "works won't start" again. Exchanged and it will be fine for a while. Have been working on these sensors and found the magnets in the aftermarket sensors are worse. Bought this sensor and found the magnet is very strong compared to the aftermarket which probably can't stick to metal surfaces. If it was installed yesterday and the auto shut off relay that came up in the problem code. So everything related to "Crank No Start" was replaced in a couple of years. Connector, wire, distributor sensor (cam sensor), ignition coil and CPU. Both OS sensors. I know I didn't have to replace every part, but when I diagnosed a problem with the correct meters and an intermittent problem, I went that route. I also hope to be able to put "historical" plates on it soon.
