Tool with missing parts best in parts section

The tool is missing one of the main crossbars and is unusable. A major setback as I can't get my trunk out until this issue is resolved and my jeep has broken down in the meantime. Bad quality control. I would recommend looking elsewhere.

  • Freehand

Powerful machine! for parts

This tool works wonders when installing the third link of the rear axle. No problem. The only thing that struck me when I received the device was its weight. God, this thing is heavy! I didn't see any until I decided to rebuild my own divverential. Much luck.

Pros
  • It's amazing
Cons
  • Clarity

Heavy duty and strong.

Good price for quality. I've seen three times as many listed on other sites. I've also seen videos online showing how to make them, but the material shown didn't look very convincing. This device has bars over an inch thick and weighs about 45 pounds.

Worked well on my Dana 35

I have used this to straighten my Dana 35 when changing the holder to a new style. It is a necessary tool for the proper maintenance of your carrier. It's hard, but it should be. With the Dana 35, you can extend it by 0.020 inches! That's a big range for a molded case. It worked great.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Expensive

Strong but didn't work on a Dana 60 axle without modification.

Supposed to fit Dana 60 axle but spacer bolt was TOO SHORT. I had to take it apart and add spacers to make it work. A longer adjustment screw is required. Typically Chinese, sloppy execution but when ordering I knew there could be problems. Solid construction at a low price. But after modification it worked.

Does the job best in spares

Used to rebuild my Jeep JK. As expected, it is large and heavy to accommodate all suitcases up to DANA 80. Those expecting it to be small and light should understand that it is designed to accommodate die-cast steel cases. I wouldn't take anything weaker. Works as it should with minimal fuss. The steel is good, the stitching is good. Not sure how it would perform on anything larger than DANA 44 but for what I was using it was a great fit. IMHO this is necessary if you are removing and…

Too small for Dana 60

I bought this to expand the Dana 60 differential case. The product description clearly states that this will work on Dana 30-80 axles, but I am aware Assurance that it won doesn't work on a Dana 60 and I'm guessing probably not on a 70 or 80 axis. The spreader hole spacing on the Dana 60 is 14.5 inches, but it looks like this tool only Can straddle holes that are 14 inches apart or less. For the record, I have a Dana 44 and the reamer holes are about 11" apart so I'm pretty sure this reamer…

I do not recommend buying this product.

The packaging is completely inadequate for such a heavy device. It took four shipments to get a tool that was complete and in perfect condition. After finally getting a tool that I could use, it got the distribution right, but it's very hard and awkward to install alone with the axle mounted on the car. On my Jeep TJ, removing the rear stabilizer bar gave me enough room between the differential and the 19-gallon gas tank to mount the distributor. Otherwise I would have to remove the gas tank…
