Heavy duty and strong.

Good price for quality. I've seen three times as many listed on other sites. I've also seen videos online showing how to make them, but the material shown didn't look very convincing. This device has bars over an inch thick and weighs about 45 pounds.

On my Dana 35

I used it to straighten my Dana 35 when I switched the holder to a new style. It is a necessary tool for the proper maintenance of your carrier. It's hard, but it should be. With the Dana 35, you can extend it by 0.020 inches! That's a big range for a molded case. It worked great.

Pros
  • fit perfectly. Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Strong but didn't work on a Dana 60 axle without modification.

Advertised for Dana 60 axle but spacer bolt was TOO SHORT. I had to take it apart and add spacers to make it work. A longer adjustment screw is required. Typically Chinese, sloppy execution but when ordering I knew there could be problems. Solid construction at a low price. But after modification it worked.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Fits spare parts

Used to reconfigure my Jeep JK. As expected, it is large and heavy to accommodate all suitcases up to DANA 80. Those expecting it to be small and light should understand that it is designed to accommodate die-cast steel cases. I wouldn't take anything weaker. Works as it should with minimal fuss. The steel is good, the stitching is good. Not sure how it would perform on anything larger than DANA 44 but for what I was using it was a great fit. IMHO this is necessary if you are removing andโ€ฆ

Too small for Dana 60

I bought this to distribute the Dana 60 differential housing. The product description clearly states that this will work on Dana 30-80 axles but I know for a fact that this will not the case is work on Dana 60, and I'm guessing probably not on axles 70 or 80. The spreader hole spacing on the Dana 60 is 14.5", but it looks like this tool can only spread holes that are 14" or are less distant from each other. For the record, I have a Dana 44 and the reamer holes are about 11" apart so I'm prettyโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • Frequency

I do not recommend buying this product.

The packaging is completely unsuitable for such a heavy instrument. It took four shipments to get a tool that was complete and in perfect condition. After finally getting a tool that I could use, it got the distribution right, but it's very hard and awkward to install alone with the axle mounted on the car. On my Jeep TJ, removing the rear stabilizer bar gave me enough room between the differential and the 19 gallon gas tank to mount the distributor. Otherwise I would have to remove the gasโ€ฆ
