I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the leather and the workmanship. These things should be fairly densely packed and not have too much porosity. It is best to pack them in rolled up blankets or other heavy, dense material. I think you want these things to end up being pretty tight and heavy. Great value for money but the color on the picture is deceptively more complicated than it really is. The color of the puffs on arrival was very "orange" and uniform without the depth of caramel and brown shown in the photo. I have tried adding leather oils to deepen the color as in the picture but the leather comes out SO DRY it soaks it up right away and doesn't change the color much.
