Great little low voltage door switch

Great little low voltage door switch. I used it to turn on the light in the closet when the door is open. If the lighting is rated for 110V AC, you will need a relay to switch the AC mains voltage, e.g. B. the Remcon Amprobe RC-120S Cabinet Type Relay Switch available from Revain. The relay is quite expensive and should be mounted in a metal case to provide additional heat dissipation, although if you're running a low power LED downlight like I am at 15W or about 0.15A, the relay is rated at…

Confusing nomenclature and bad design

Okay, first things first because apparently even in the FAQ there is no clear answer as to which version is which. means NC (Normally Closed) - "Open Circuit Off" - NO (Normally Open) I have no idea why they can't use this common nomenclature. Now the real problem lies in their design, how the contacts turn on and off. I find it too complicated. As a result, with a circuit breaker, you have to push the ball almost all the way in for the circuit to break (open). Basically, this means that your…

Who writes the product description?

I bought a switch for my home security system to replace a broken door switch. The switch must normally be open, which means that when the door is opened, the switch is open. The term "closer" refers to the switch, not the door! The manufacturer offers switches in all configurations. Among the various types, Open Circuit Shutdown Type is the most suitable. What leaves me speechless is the sheer lack of understanding of what they are selling. According to the description, the dimensions of the…
