NO REPLACEMENT #HD-91042

If you are looking for a replacement #HD-91042 to hold your Sportster's inner clutch hub, don't waste your money. The teeth are too thick and slip out of the hub, not even remotely right. Motion Pro needs to remove this sentence from their website and from Revain.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons

Worked great on my CRF450x

Bought this tool to help install a Rekluse clutch on my CRF 450x. The job was done without incident, no drama, which is what I wanted. Be careful not to bend your jaw too much. This is a retainer that keeps the clutch from turning while you loosen the basket nut. Don't try to use it like pliers and you'll be fine.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Doesn't fit KLR650 Best in clutches

I've tried and tried to get this to hold the clutch securely on my 2009 KLR650. The tabs on this thing are too thick and at the wrong angle to fit the KLR clutch grooves. It also doesn't open very wide unless you put in some effort. You have to turn the adjustment screw all the way back for it to work at all. I haven't found a working tool yet. But this one won't work.

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Almost OK

garbage tool! for engine

Tried this on my 2004 Honda CBR600RR, this tool sucks! I used this when tightening the clutch basket castle nut, the Motion Pro tool popped out of the splines at 94 lb-ft per second of torque. When removing it damaged the entire center basket and I had to buy another one. AVOID! This tool has only 2 contact points versus 6 on the EBC clutch tool which fits like a clutch disc. This tool does much more harm than good. I have emailed Motion Pro and they have not contacted me yet. Your product isโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Nothing here

Does it work for motorcycles and strength sports

Just like others have said the center feels a bit flimsy and starts to move a little if pushed too hard. This can be mitigated by squeezing hard enough to hold the clutch rather than slamming down like you would a pair of vises. They seem to arrive quickly and overall don't hurt, the price was ok and not too expensive although I wish it was a little cheaper considering it flexes when you use it. Overall I think I'll buy it again because it doesn't seem like such a bad tool and it keeps theโ€ฆ
