Well proven in fuel system

Installed on Marauder 02 VX800k2. Exactly as described and pictured. Some red Loctite on the nut (not where it screws into the carburetor) and you're done. I shortened mine a bit.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for elderly

It's not 5mm at Motorcycle & Powersports

They are listed as 5mm but they sent me 6mm which is useless for my Kiehin carburetors on my old Honda bikes. The seller must either change the listing or pay more attention.

Possible fuel system leak

There is no seal between the brass tube and the nut which means there is most likely a vacuum leak. I would recommend using threadlock or epoxy to keep the nut tight on the pipe. If you have room on the bike you can even stick a washer under the nut to keep the o-ring from being pushed out.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Negative impression

Great inexpensive solution for motorcycle carburetor adjustment

Purchased to sync up newly rebuilt carburetors on my 1995 Honda Magna, they fit perfectly. This is a fairly inexpensive solution, they look like 1/4 inch OD copper tubing threaded with a nut and o-ring. I've found that the nut tries to cut into the copper tubing and then twists, so be careful; a washer between the nut and the o-ring may be useful.

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other picks

like sponge wire Material Type

One of my previous adapters broke off in my carburetor, these are much thicker and heavier, I never see them break in carburetors. I wish they were a bit longer but actually they are exactly what they should be. Any shorter and there will be a problem. One of them seems to have some sort of material, like a sponge, wire type, I wouldn't be surprised if it just buffered the air before it hits the vacuum gauges. I have used them several times, they work as expected, I am satisfied.

High quality thick-walled product, but the main flaw is easy to eliminate

The downside is that this is not a machined solid piece of brass so the vacuum doesn't leak past the threads nut and o-ring. The defect is easily repaired by unscrewing the nut from the smooth end of the shaft just enough to put a drop of "red" (or blue, if that's all you have) Loctite on the exposed threads next to the smooth one applied at the end of the shaft. Then thread the nut back onto the Loctite and allow to dry before use. Now the O-ring can actually do its job and seal the surface…

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • There are flaws

A simple adapter to adjust your carburetors - a MUST!

First. Description is wrong. All you get is what you see in the pictures. two long adapters and two short adapters with o-rings and nuts. nothing more. While I was hoping for built in limiters, I'm still not disappointed with my purchase. Installation was quick and easy. Loosen the manifold bolts from each bottom carb, carefully insert one (any size, doesn't matter) into the hole, connect your gauge vacuum lines, and you're good to go. The local store wanted $20 for a pair of these, so getting…

Pros
  • Decent performance
