I used this tool to remove my old 630 chain (after grinding the rivet heads of course) and this tool worked effortlessly! The rivet is ready in about 15 minutes with minimal effort on my part! The tool is well made and looks like it will last a long time. In my opinion, you can't go wrong with this chain tool!

4 stars because I had two anvils and no pin set. I was able to order a set of pens directly from Motion Pro, but considering the cost, this shouldn't have been necessary. Once I had all the parts everything worked as it should, the handle could have been a bit longer for more leverage but that would have made storing the tool more difficult. The thread pitch on the press is good to ensure you don't over tighten or over forge the rivets. Some sort of storage box/case would also work for this…

Robust. Much larger than Motion Pro PBR which broke on first use. It served its purpose and is still intact, so I'm very happy with it. I have two complaints: 1) It doesn't come with a good storage case like the PBR. It costs more than PBR and they pack it tightly in a small box. 2) The small part that contains the chain link side plate is poorly designed. I've used it more than I thought it would and it works great. I have heard of others breaking the pin removal post while removing the pin. I've done this multiple times without deleting anything. When aligned, the pin will pop out slightly. The rivet ball extending the end of the new suspension link can be modified. I broke a few of them because they are too wide and it would be better if they were tapered to expand rather than pressing on the ends of the pins. It is very difficult to get the…

This tool allows you to break the chain, insert a new main chain link and flare rivets. I have two complaints; 1) it would be nice if for such a price it came in some sort of case (instead of a box) 2) there are no instructions.
