🔧 Enhanced Clutch Spring Compressor Tool - Motion Pro 08-0137 Review

Either I didn't see the instructions or they didn't include them but there are 2 jacking bolts, one for the Sportster and one for the Big Twins. I also wish the wing nut fenders were about 2 inches longer due to the levers, but this did what I needed.

I had no idea what I was doing when the clutch wasn't shifting. Like everyone, I ran to YouTube and watched a few videos to look for. Of course I found it, but there were no tools. I bought it, read the instructions, everything turned out to be quite simple.

This business is a bit expensive in my opinion. It's a one-time tool for most people, so I'm surprised someone hasn't developed a cheaper alternative. In addition, when compressing the spring, pieces of paint broke off and fell into the center bearing. Luckily I wanted to pry them out with a small screwdriver.

I have used the compressor tool twice on a '09 Sportster. The second time the clutch had to be fitted, which involved an extra plate and stronger spring retainer. This compressor tool had no problem compressing the extra spring tension and worked as advertised. Good value for money. I bought another tool, never cheaper, and it broke while removing the first clutch. I can highly recommend this remedy.
