Less than four months lifespan

This thermostat lasted less than four months before failing. Now my car doesn't get up to operating temperature which in turn means I can't start the heater and also lets my car run cold which can cause other problems.

Pros
  • 100% tested and calibrated
Cons
  • No instructions

It's nice to have the added peace of mind that this anti-roll bar will open if the car overheats! I saw in other reviews that it was out of order because it was closed but that probably saved their car and they didn't even know it! While everything seems correct, the temperature sensor stays in the same range as the standard thermostat.

Pros
  • Exclusive patented anti-overheat design
Cons
  • Only available in black

Light Duty Suitable

If you live in a northern climate this thermostat will do what it's supposed to do, it won't "open" when the heat gets too hot. I installed two of these in a 1999 Dodge 3500 RoadTrek van and towed a heavy trailer through the Texas heat. It was too much for this thermostat when the coolant temperature reached 125-130 degrees and the thermostats failed twice. I'm sure they would be fine in a cooler environment. It would be nice if they specified what temperature they would be "fail safe" at and…

  • Installation Type: Vehicle Specific
Cons
  • Light Serviceability
