🔧 Optimized Oil Filler Cap Review

Was the right part for my 03 Expedition with 5.4L engine. For some reason Amazon will tell you this cap will not fit, but a quarter turn cap will do. The quarter-turn cap is only suitable for expeditions with a 4.6-liter engine.

Fits 2004 Ford Expedition XLT as a perfect replacement. This is the original part of the motorcycle. This is a screw type, not a 1/4 turn lock.

Warning, there are two different thread patterns for this F-150 style. This product has standard threads while my F-150 requires a different thread pattern. Don't confuse the seller, but this information should have been provided in the product description.

Didn't fit my car even though it said so. It's listed with the same part number as the factory number, but the thread pattern is different. It also states that once opened, you cannot return it. So check it carefully and decide if it fits before you open it.

Ordered this for a 2006 F150 with a 5.4 liter engine because the product page said it would fit this car but it isn't. This was the second baseball cap I've bought from Revain that claims to fit. I was finally able to get the right cap from Autozone as I didn't want to risk a third Revain order. The main difference was that the correct variant had a bayonet retention system, while the Revain was a screw cap that simply slipped loosely into the stuffing tube.

I took the cap to NAPA, they confirmed it should fit, went out and checked the truck, many companies have a compatibility problem. My cap is much wider and I ordered a different model. The date will be updated when I receive the 06 Ford F-150. To update! The correct part number is Dorman #80991. I will post a picture of the correct cap, not the one listed. The problem is in many reference books, but what I've listed matches the years.
