Ford Quality Engine Cooling & Climate Control Part

Ford Escape 2006 Hybrid. Standard immission test code received, scanner said thermostat. Removal of the idler/tensioner pulley is mandatory. I've tried bypassing it, but it's a lot easier to see and remove the brackets. Make sure you have a clean drain pan that will hold about a half gallon of coolant. You can reuse it. Reinstall the details. Add coolant, warm up the car and check the coolant level. After replacing the thermostat, the car becomes much more electric. Best $35 repair I've ever…

Another satisfied customer!

I ordered this thermostat for my 2007 Ford Focus because I didn't want to risk buying an aftermarket product and I didn't want to do this repair again. My Focus thermostat is hidden under the intake manifold and can be difficult to replace. I chose Motorcraft because it's an original part and I expect it to last longer than the aftermarket. Fits and works as promised

Product arrived in 2 days. I have 04 Focus /2.3L with original T-Stat. Problem - I have problems with idling and overheating. The car's engine temperature did not exceed 165 degrees while driving at 55 mph in an ambient temperature of 60 degrees, "BUT" overheats at idle for 10 minutes. Put the old stat in hot water, heat it to 205 degrees and finally open it. Place the new Motorcraft RT1193 T-Stat in hot water, heat to 185 degrees and open.
