I had these on both front and rear tires. Both got cut off trying to steal my BMW RR1000. A person damaged the brakes but I'm not sure if this was caused by the alarm and/or by a person. Neither I nor my neighbors heard the alarms so I would consider this product useless. I have other third party locking mechanisms and tilt alarms so luckily my bike wasn't stolen. I'm glad it wasn't my only anti-theft device.

Ok I won't lie, at first I found them too touchy and annoying. But after a few weeks of use - I like it! Easy to put on with or without a reminder cord and fits perfectly under my seat. The secret to false positives is to use a dummy cord and create some resistance. This prevents it from swaying in strong winds or vibrations. Edit: After 6 months, the lock is difficult to open. It appears to be rusty although it has been lightly used.

Note: This is just a deterrent to keep honest people honest and slow down a professional thief for a minute. It's loud enough to draw attention to the thief, but nothing will stop them. To that extent it does what it should. draw attention to the crime scene. The "Remember Me" cord is a nice bonus, and the pouch is a bit small to be useful. Side stickers are easy to remove. That. This is a reliable little lock. The pin slides right through one of the holes in your front disc, depresses the lock, it beeps and releases when someone shakes the bike and stops it from rolling. Between that and the handlebar lock, the only way to move the bike without setting off the alarm is to physically lift it, and even then it will likely work. Just a level of protection that's nice to have when parking in certain spots or overnight when it deters anyone interfering with your drive.

This is a pretty loud alarm clock. Nothing too crazy. Around town it's more for shocking thieves than for you to hear and needs to be used with alternative pressure sensitive signals as it doesn't stop someone from just picking up the bike and putting it in the truck but for a regular one Average the thief who just wants to ride the bike far, that helps.
