Defective after a month

The charger worked well for a month and suddenly stopped working. One night after charging my phone (Moto X Pure) for 20 minutes, I picked up my phone and noticed that the area around the charging port was very hot, as was the tip of the charging cable. I unplugged my phone and charger. Tried again the next day and the charger doesn't work at all.

Don't believe them I ruined the connector on the charger

I will ONLY buy Motorola chargers from the Verizon store. The Droid is better, but the charging ports can and will be damaged unless you use BRAND NEW CERTIFIED chargers direct from the manufacturer or a certified retailer. These are cables you need to be careful with. I ruined two $650 phones trying to save a few bucks on a charger. It's not worth it. Buy directly from Motorola or where you bought the phone. Do not take any risks. I think this charger destroyed my charging port. It worked fine

Pros
  • Useful not just for it's intended purpose

worked 1 week. GREAT customer service and problem solved!

This charger lasted about a week and then stopped working. I contacted Revain and they immediately sent me a replacement charger but that also didn't work after about a week so I'm sending both chargers back. ***UPDATE I was contacted by Motorola customer service about a defective item after posting this review. The problem was solved very quickly and professionally. The replacement chargers sent to me have been working without problems for several weeks and I really hope they continue to work.

Original OEM product that's great too

This is a genuine Motorola 25w charger, at least when bought from Revain. I see some people getting fakes so I would be careful which seller you are actually buying from. Yes, it's an attached USB cable, and I think that's fine - it's a decent length, very nice, and flexible. If you're looking for a turbocharger, you already know what you're looking for. I would go with a genuine OEM product because it's only a few dollars more than aftermarket chargers and there's no reason not to buy a…

Skip buying this product - does not work!

Judging by other posted reviews I agree. DO NOT waste your time/money ordering this charger. This does NOT look like the charger that came with the phone or the original product. My phone didn't even recognize the charger so it didn't charge at all. In any case, all these types of chargers become garbage within a few months of use. In almost two years I've had a phone, I've had 3 spare chargers! Waste of time and money just to charge your phone! Stick with a certified Verizon or Motorola…

Good value for money. for wall chargers

I received this kit to replace the original cable from my Moto X Pure. I felt bad after losing the original cable at a wedding and seeing the cost of a replacement from Motorola. They looked just like the original and charged just as fast. It's been about 18 months since I received the kit and one of the cables has just started to detach. It has to be bent a certain way to hold the charge, otherwise the phone won't know it's connected. So far it has worked great. The original cable was returned

Pros
  • GOLS certified
