Works well (after I fixed it)

I bought this for my new Motorola T600 radio. After hooking up a mic to see how well it worked, I was very disappointed to find that my PTT button wasn't working properly. Actually, one can almost say that it doesn't work at all. Not what I expected from Motorola. Update 11/10/19: After opening the microphone and setting the PTT button, it works without any problems. The sound is clear. I still have it and use it often. 4 stars.

Does not work with Cobra walkie-talkies

Looking at the reviews of this shoulder microphone, no one clearly indicated whether they work for Cobra walkie-talkies or not. There were many links to a site or walkie-talkie where there is still no clear answer, so I decided to buy it. Once purchased, the build quality is phenomenal, although the cable could have been a bit longer. In testing, I found that it could only hear our Cobra radios, not speak, even though the connector was also a microphone. So please don't buy this for a Cobra…

Small in volume but surprisingly well constructed.

Matches my Motorola T260 making it a fun but unnecessary addition. The overall construction was great and looks professional. However, I am about 172cm tall and with a little stretch on the coiled cord I can pull it out of the radio fairly easily. >>Please note that the length from your radio to this microphone is 43 cm. Subjectively, the overall volume corresponds to about 85% of that of the Motorola T260. I don't see it being advertised as water friendly, but for "fishing/skiing". I…

Only lasted a month

Ordered 4 of these mics for our T460 radios. Each microphone worked flawlessly for about a month. Sent it in under warranty and they sent me a replacement. The exchange took only 30 days. I called and emailed Motorola Solutions to guarantee or get my money back. Got a leg on the phone and via email. I then received an email that the warranty had expired just a few days after it expired. I made my case by showing my previous emails and they replied that the guarantee does not apply to work use…

Does the job, mostly

The microphone works well and has a built-in speaker so the audio stream is always at hand. , there is no way to place the radio at waist height and the microphone at shoulder height. After months of trying to stretch the cord, it remains as short and taut as the day I received it. When mounted at shoulder height, the walkie-talkie often jumped off my belt (and survived only because the cord was not disconnected and the walkie-talkie never touched the ground). I had to clip the mic to my tie at

High-quality microphone with external speaker

These microphones are completely legal. Speaker Quality: The speaker quality is pretty good when the user on the other end speaks correctly into the microphone. I have a waterproof version of the MR350R and the remote speaker is pretty close in quality to a portable speaker. The remote speaker has slightly higher frequencies but isn't bad enough to be a problem. Durability: The plastic body isn't the thickest, but it's thick enough to be durable enough for normal use, unlike boom mics for the…
