The advantage of the built-in charger is that it provides a place for the radio to stand upright, rather than just on one to lie on the surface. The plug-in charger ensures a less cluttered look.

Pros
  • Clone function allows settings to be copied to all six radios
Cons
  • Security

The best option for a multi-charger

Main size. This is the smallest Motorola charger I know of and a plug is a plus. No wall wart. The plug is a standard 2 pin 110V AC to DC lamp cord used to charge the radios built into the unit. This charger, a range of radios and accessories can be easily stowed in a bag and carried to work lightly. The only downside to this is that the radios hang in slots where you'll wiggle or pull one out and sometimes have to put it back in the slot to keep the contacts strong. Sometimes when you insert…

Pros
  • Batteries can be charged together with the radio or removed and charged separately
Cons
  • You can choose a newer model

Works well and saves lots of space

This charger works well but not very well as sometimes you have to wiggle the radio to start charging. This is once a week though, so it doesn't matter. This saves a lot of space compared to separate chargers, so it's worth it!

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • old

The advantage of the plug in charger is that you can place the radio in an upright position instead of just laying it on a surface. The plug-in charger provides a less cluttered look.

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
