Description of Mountain bike (MTB) Welt Ridge 1.0 D 27 (2022) orange 20" (requires final assembly)

The Ridge 1.0 D is an entry-level mountain bike with mechanical disc brakes designed for cross-country riding. The well-thought-out geometry of the lightweight aluminum frame allows you to comfortably overcome obstacles on the road and, at the same time, creates a comfortable enough fit for moving around the city. Features: Diamond Shape Geometry - a modern patented technology for manufacturing aluminum frame tubes from AL6061 alloy, the tube in cross section has a similar appearance with a diamond crystal; with the help of additional stiffening ribs, increased strength is provided, and the wide flat surface of the base allows to reduce weight by reducing the cross-sectional area of \u200b\u200bthe pipe; 27.5 wheels - the universal, most demanded wheel diameter standard today, faster than the classic 26, but at the same time, handling and maneuverability are higher than those of 29-inch wheels; suspension fork Hagen 330 MLO 28.6 alloy with 100 mm travel; Shimano''s entry-level 21-speed drivetrain makes climbing easier Artek MD-13 mechanical disc brakes provide fast and efficient braking.

I switched to it from the Stealth Navigator and felt as if I had jumped from Priora to Merce: everything seemed to be fine, but the difference is incredible :) those who are looking for a budget, but worthy model for a hobby, and not professional races, be sure to pay attention.

Pros
  • The bike is the best in its price range: it cannot be compared with Stealths, Sterns and the like. A wide range of frame and wheel sizes makes the model quite versatile: it will suit everyone. My height is 168, frame S and wheels 27.5 - just the most successful combination. The 70 mm steering wheel is too wide for my slender nature, but the magic grinder solves the problem :) The color is much darker than in the seller's photo, but still very beautiful, with black elements it looks great. An unfussy starter Shimano outboard and their shifters are a great option for a rider like me: often, but without much Olympic success and mostly around the city. Locking and adjusting the stiffness of the front fork is a godsend for the city rider, so as not to lose in the coast. The seat of medium hardness is not a bench, but it requires habit.
Cons
  • Pretty delicate decals: leaned a little and immediately scratched. There is no footboard, which was in the previous modification of the same model. The tires are a bit thick for my wheel size. I'm thinking of replacing it with half slicks. There are no wings, but they are now put into the base in few places.

I agree with one of the commentators: the steering wheel is wide (my height is 168), you can safely cut it. Upon delivery: the rear wheel with a small figure eight, the bushings are tightened, the chain is in preservative. Total for assembly you will need: 1. torx screwdrivers 2. hexagons 3. cone keys

Pros
  • Basic but shimano, lockable fork, overall quality is decent for the money (I got 18590).
Cons
  • Still quite heavy

I didn't expect the quality to be so high.

There was a good discount on the bike, and it was probably due to a chip on the fork, which was tinted. I will most likely change the tires and pedals, but first I will need to leave. I will add a review as I collect it, and I'll go for a ride. As promised I am ating the review. The bike is solid, perfect for cycling and walking on good roads. If you want to turn off the road and ride confidently not only on the bike path, you need to look towards more expensive bikes. I was very pleased with

Pros
  • Great bike for the money considering today's prices. Entry-level shimano hitch, interesting frame.
Cons
  • The fork of the most simply entry-level (it's good that it is cast), shoots where it is necessary and where it is not necessary, you should not expect anything from it. Curved front disc, which by the way was separate from the bike (rear is even, although it was installed from the factory)
