Super tasty but no water supply line

My wife is very picky about anything "processed" so when I brought this campsite I assumed I would be the only one eating it. To my surprise, my wife said it wasn't bad and ate a third with me. I'm a 5ft 7in 150 lb guy and have been working up an appetite hiking all day and boy hit the spot. It's light, the packaging isn't too hot, and it tastes damn good. Only criticism: I don't have a measuring cup with me and there doesn't seem to be a water fill line in the bag. I was able to find a camping

Bought 2 of these last week for $6.97 each, now the cheapest piece is over $15, 1 week?

I decided to try them, I figured $6.97 each and free shipping, they will be very handy when I go camping, I received them yesterday so I fixed one this morning, it was pretty good enough good to get more so i want to order more here and talk about the confusion 4 days ago it was $6.97 today it's $15.50 per pack. what they will be next week, $30 each. I think I'll look elsewhere for a cozy place to eat. or learn to lyophilize yourself. I would recommend them if you can get them for less than $7…

Great for survival and camping but nothing more.

Okay, you have to put this food in context. It's camping, hiking, hiking, survival food. With that said I give it three stars and here is why. First off the taste is ok, filling but not the best unless you are really hungry in which case it would be fantastic. The texture is another story, the cookie pieces are like cookie croutons that are quite crunchy even after waiting 15 minutes for the hot water to do the trick. The so-called sausage bites were like little rubber balls coated in salt…

Would buy again, good for the camp kitchen

I must admit. I was a little hesitant to try this. I couldn't imagine how this meal couldn't be a horribly gooey mush, but I was very wrong. It would be a difficult recipe to get right, so kudos to Mountain House! It's not the most appetizing dish to look at straight out of the bag, but as they say, the taste and texture were surprisingly good. After rehydration, the bread slices were still firm and textured, a pleasant surprise. The sauce was a little sticky but maybe I needed a little more…
