Trekking Tips.

I've been using these for my Mountainsmith trekking poles for a long time and recently to complement my Black Diamond trekking poles. I've found some others that work on both poles as well. Replaceable rubber tip Columb Protector Flex. 10 per pack for a fraction of the cost.

Pros
  • Dimensions: 1.625 x 0.875 inches
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Good fit, longevity will tell

Good fit, quick replacement for original tips that wear out too quickly. The metal tips that cover them basically cut the original tips until they were useless and i threw them in the trash.I hope they are more durable but time will tell. They have a shoulder on the inside which theoretically keeps the metal tips from protruding .

Pros
  • Fits all Mountainsmith trekking poles and most 0.5" (12mm) pole ends
Cons
  • Protection

Exact replacement for worn original rubber tips.

Exact replacement for Original Equipment rubber tips that have worn down to metal carbide tips. Used trekking poles for mountain hiking in the deserts of southwestern Utah until blood clots in left leg put an end to hiking. Now I use sticks to walk on sidewalks and slippery tiles inside buildings. Soft rubber tips won't slip, even on shiny, slippery tile floors in doctor's offices and cafes. Expensive but worth it.

Pros
  • Replacement Wellington Boots Tips
Cons
  • Almost Never
