    Hole pattern makes fit impractical

Odd hole pattern results in drive either swallowing into PC (making it impossible to plug in) or sticking out awkwardly (making it impossible to install in a PC) . The photos show how the original drive fits into the PC bracket and how this adapter bracket causes the new drive to be swallowed up or protrude too far.

    Proper SSD mount, but!

Nice that Phillips screws were included. However, the screwdriver that came with it was wrong. Obviously a flat head screwdriver will not work with Phillips head screws.

    OK. wrong screwdriver?

My new 2.5" SSD in my old 3.5" drive bay worked fine. The screws are too small for a 3.5" bay, but they work. The included screwdriver will not work with the included screws, so use a regular Phillips head.

Danger.! The edges are very sharp.

Danger! The edges are very sharp. Sharp enough to cut your fingers when inserting and tightening the screws, and also when inserting into the hard drive bay. I had to file every edge of each of these hard drive trays. Luckily no stitches were needed. Not impressed. Quality control should have recognized this problem.

Great value and easy to install

Great value and easy to install. I have been using this product for several years now and have always found it very easy to install; but I'm also a computer repair technician who makes a living building custom computers. This product is a must have for anyone who wants to build their own computer, especially if you are installing a 2.5" drive.

Can't say I was disappointed knowing from other reviews I was getting. The adapter brackets will not fit a standard 3.5" drive. It can work in a case with a number of drive mounting holes, but definitely won't fit the HP and Dell rail mount. Normal screws do not fit. The drive orientation is totally unusual. However, IF this is the only drive in your computer AND your cable connectors are straight (no 90 degree connectors) AND you don't need a rail drive to install in your computer, this might…

Good deal and everything you need is included!

Bought to replace a desktop hard drive (Inspiron 400 Zino) with an SSD that didn't have an adapter or container. An SSD fits easily into this adapter, and the adapter fits perfectly into a computer. Better still, the kit includes screws for the smaller drive and adapter. The adapter looks solid enough but minimalistic with lots of holes for ventilation.

    • Sad hardware

Comes with extra screws (all Philips) and a useless flathead screwdriver

I went for a set of 2 mounting brackets from Ruaeoda for the price but was blown away by the quality. The brackets are just the right thickness, not flimsy at all. They were packaged very well and included a few extra screws. The only oddity is that all the screws are Philips and the screwdriver that comes with it has a flat blade, making it completely unusable. Please make it useful.

Cheap - You get what you pay for

I was attracted to these 2.5 to 3.5 adapters by their price. Apparently there shouldn't be any problems with a simple metal adapter plate - right? Not right. Here are the problems.1. The included screws are cheap and only offer a mini standard (flathead) screwdriver. No Phillips screwdriver. strange.2. The machined 3.5 point mounting holes are made with custom sized screws (which means your regular hard drive mounting screws won't work - you need to use the included slotted (fuzzy) screws). 3…

    • I'll write later

These adapter brackets are made of stamped steel and have well-placed holes to fit in place of a standard 3.5" drive. Unfortunately, as with many other adapters, the threaded holes do not have the same threads as the #6-32 UNC screws that are standard for mounting 3.5" drives. This is only a problem if you're trying to install this adapter using the special screws that came with your computer, which act as locking pins to hold the drive in place. I was able to recut the holes to use this mount…
