Can't say I was disappointed knowing from other reviews I was getting. The adapter brackets will not fit a standard 3.5" drive. It can work in a case with a number of drive mounting holes, but definitely won't fit the HP and Dell rail mount. Normal screws do not fit. The drive orientation is totally unusual. However, IF this is the only drive in your computer AND your cable connectors are straight (no 90 degree connectors) AND you don't need a rail drive to install in your computer, this might work for you. I made it work for me, drilling holes where I needed them and cutting the threads myself. This way I avoided the extra adapter connection between the drive and the motherboard. All adapters look like this. such. If you're looking for a basic 2.5" to 3.5" adapter, this isn't for you.
