I bought this heater for hunting in October this year. It rained, hailed, snowed, and the gallon water jugs outside froze overnight. This little heater kept us warm and toasty. We used it in the back of the jeep (where we slept). Just make sure to open the window so it gets fresh oxygen, if not it shuts down for safety. Has kept us warm and hot. I really like the electric start in this model. I have a larger Big Buddy but it is a bit large for those using a smaller camping tent and certainly not for backpacking. However, this Hunting Buddy bridges the gap compared to the smaller output of the standard 4K-9K Buddy, which can get you a little chilly on a very cold night.
