No, it IS ruler!

The rulers feel good in the hand indicating a quality product. super accurate. Easy to read. I had it checked out by a mechanic (yes, those guys are hard to find these days) and he was impressed with the accuracy. I told him I paid for her; he almost cried. He said they were as accurate as his $500 caliper. The only thing that confuses me a bit is the stupid mustache logo, but I still only use the metric side. Why are we still using imperial US units?! Yes, buy these lines. You'll never want to

Pros
  • Easy to use

Almost Essential - Rulers

These are thicker rulers than flexible ones, but not what I would call "thick". They are slightly thicker than flexible. I like that the measurement starts right at the edge, although that was my requirement. It's a very good deal to get so many rulers at this price point, although I would argue that all but the 12" and 6" are a gimmick and I don't see them being used. The numbers are easy to read. I also like that it's metric on one side and imperial on the other, although that was another…

Zero is not exact

These are called "machinist rulers" and must start at zero so you can measure from the end. However, none of the four rules in my set were followed exactly: the ends were 0.3 mm or 0.012 inches (more than half the smallest pitch) from zero. , checked the alignment under a magnifying glass and grinded it down to 0.002" from the correct reading on the inch side. However, the millimeter graduations engraved on the other side of each ruler were not necessarily of the same origin, and the worst…

Good value for money

VERDICT: Worth the money and I'm a happy customer. If you're reading reviews because you're unsure, I recommend adding them to your cart. Pros: These guys are perfect for my main purpose; Scoring They're thick enough to apply some pressure for a clean score, but nice and straight for an accurate score. The lines are crisp and clear, making them easy to measure if you can't get to them with a caliper. Cons: I took off a star because they don't necessarily start at a real zero. As an example, I…

almost perfect except for possible dangers

Inexpensive (I actually give 3 1/2 stars). However, I have one big problem and one very small problem. The metal edges are so sharp it's almost like a razor blade which can be dangerous to your hands/wrists if you're not careful. My job assistant noticed the same problem, so it's not just me. It would be better if the edges were ground/polished (like micro-curves) for easier and safer handling. Also, be very careful with these rulers near anything that can be easily scratched or torn (think…
