Received my set today. Install exactly as shown. Combing and combing the hair was great. I would advise you to oil your combs before use (dry unwrapped wood will soak up the oil from your hair). I rubbed mine with coconut oil and left it on, then wiped it down with a dry cloth.

I love this brush set! I've never had a comb that hasn't hurt my head, especially as my hair tends to get tangled easily and I have a sensitive scalp. These brushes glide through my hair with no problem. I'm so thankful to have her. I bought another set for my daughter as she has long hair and she loves it too! I love this hair tool set! My hair has become very thin and static is usually a problem - even with clean boar bristles. The brushes are durable, tangle free and virtually eliminate static electricity when combing! Now I only use them! A large-toothed comb is great for combing through wet hair without pulling it out, and I use a rat-tail comb for braiding. Easy to clean after use. Big brush is great; Small brush is ideal for traveling. I haven't tried the rat tail comb yet. The only reason I'm giving this product 3 stars instead of 4 is because it's a comb with big and wide teeth. It started to crack noticeably the first day/time I used it. The little brush is good, I don't use it too much so I gave it to my daughter. 2 combs are enough. The wide tooth could have been polished better. The main brush fell apart in less than 1 year of use. I have very thick hair and now all the bristles and the elastic that holds them loosen with use. Another brand I've used for these types of brushes had straight bristles which made cleaning much easier.
