Mud Pie Turtle-shaped Paper Towel Holder: Fun and Functional Cleaning Companion Review

Turtle is very beautiful. However, the wooden part of the hull was broken during transport. It looks like it was just glued on and peeled off. It also won't hold bounty paper towels without a very tight fit. Would love to return the item but all they want to do is replace it with a disappointed one. Guess I'll just siliconize the back and use it til it breaks.

I've had this product for a year now and we're throwing it away. It's a beautiful thing, but it's poorly done. The central pole was never tight and always wobbled, but worse, the turtle kept coming loose and falling. At first it happened every two weeks, now every day. It doesn't matter if an item looks good if it doesn't work. I do not recommend this product.

This is a beautiful piece. My only complaint is that it is for decorative purposes rather than functionality. Every roll of tissue paper I tried to put on is still very loose and wobbly. The woodwork is beautiful. If you love Mud Pie you'll love this one too, but it's also the one product I use the least due to the instability of trying to get paper towels.

Should have been a turtle paper towel holder! I read the reviews, a bit mixed. Got it, and yes, a regular roll of paper towels won't fit! Especially the size of Costco or Bounty. Found a nice square wooden cutting board at TJMaxx that has a larger footprint. Will be remade! Basically pay for the turtle! worth me! You decide! Honestly, they should make a great base! You can't afford a good review! And to get it right!

The center pole was bent when assembled, the turtle had one screw (of two) that would not tighten, the surface was uneven and dull, even on the back of the turtle (not like the shiny one in the picture), and finally one is large roll of paper towels not suitable. While this is a beautiful piece of art, it won't hold a roll of paper towels! The picture says it all. It's just a roll of paper towels. Not the mega size most people buy these days. I bought this as a gift for my daughter and it's very pretty but impractical when you only have to gift it with half a roll of kitchen paper. You need to adjust the base size to reality. The turtle is very cute, cast in metal with details on the belly side facing the paper towel. This is kind of a waste as no one will ever see the turtle's belly as it will always be facing the paper towels. I was a little disappointed because there was only an empty indentation on the side of the bowl.
