I had one as a kid and my dad used it to cut our holiday meals. I've bought a few of my own over the years, and many grind rather than cut protein. The Meuller Ultracarver makes nice, clean slices with a lot less effort than carving by hand. The fact that the blades are dishwasher safe might be a plus for some people, but I never put my knives in the dishwasher.

This knife is a waste of money. You have to use both blades and when I start using them and with the very light pressure you have to apply while cutting, the blades keep coming loose. I had a deep cut on my hand, see photo (and note the photo of the almost healed hand, imagine a bit of skin and muscle that must have come loose l).
