I love these tampons. I often use them to clean video games, circuit boards, game consoles and controllers. Their pointed shape is perfect for working in hard-to-reach areas and they don't leave a cottony residue like traditional tampons. They are also great for drying small areas where water gets stuck in tiny holes. I also like the fact that they are double sided so they last longer.

They dissolve and become unusable when dipped in electronics cleaning alcohol. The cotton will begin to unravel, leaving you with the sharp end of a green plastic stick. like a toothpick. I blew them through so quickly it wasn't worth buying. I probably used 5 swabs (each end) for a cell phone repair. In my experience with other tampons, I really don't need more than 1. Maybe if they were a lot cheaper and in bulk, but 100 count isn't worth buying or even gambling if you use tampons regularly.

These are great for my use case of removing excess flux paste from hand soldered components on circuit boards. I dip the foam tips in isopropyl alcohol, which is very absorbent, and then rub the flux paste on it until it's absorbed by the foam tips. Each tip wipes a few dozen pads, then I flip the swab and do a few dozen more with the other end, then throw it away.
