I wish they weren't so loose

They work well and hold things without damaging them. The main problem is that the magnets could be stronger. When you're holding something thick and small, the underside of the nylon pads keep moving as you tighten the vise, change grip angle, and throw material up and out of the pads. Maybe I kept the wrong things

Not recommended for fittings larger than 12 AN

My rating is based on the fact that the first fitting I fitted (-16 AN) showed signs of pad fatigue in the nylon clamps (small, localized, white deformation) . This was not due to over-tightening of the fitting, but to the torque applied to the fitting during screwing in. I should add that the pre-assembly was smeared with an anti-seize compound on the aluminum to prevent chafing and the inside. Rubber was lubricated with silicone (Silglid).
