Economical and powerful modulator

I was looking for cost effective modulation solutions, especially when multiple signals need to be modulated. This block seems to work fine. Low rack heat and easy-to-use programming interface. Recommended for most single and multi-device installations.

Pros
  • LCD front panel for easy setup, RJ-45 connector for web configuration, cool and quiet operation
Cons
  • Can't remember

easy to set up and works well

I've lasted 2 weeks with no problems so far. I am using ATSC on channel 60 with virtual channel 60.1 and this is mixed with broadcast TV (virtual channels 19,51,56, physical channels 15,20,22). I have 5 TVs connected. 3 of them show the channel as 60.1 (correct according to VCN setup). The other 2 TVs (both Insignia brands) show 60,101 (I thought sub channel count was limited to 99 with ATSC). This number seems to come from an inexplicable "program number" setting on the modulator.

Pros
  • Perfect clean and sharp image for dynamic videos, sports, scrolling text, etc. Subtitles (J.83B QAM and ATSC) on EIS-608
Cons
  • Some bugs

Too bad I didn't discover this modulator sooner

I've wanted an inexpensive digital modulator for a long time. I combined it with my OTA antenna using a Channel Plus coax splitter, but the same can be done with a simple coax splitter. Picture and sound are excellent on all televisions in the house. It is currently connected to a Roku player and streaming on channel 50-1 where my Tivo Edge can intercept, pause, rewind or record the streaming channels much better than any stream. DVR could ever come up with. I think I need two MUL-HDENC-C-100…

Pros
  • MUL-HDENC-C-200 distributes SD and Full HDTV content up to 1080p on all 134 channels
Cons
  • Some little things
