I received this meter and took it with me on a customer run for first use. I was trying to measure an OEM battery voltage for someone wanting to extend the range and it gave me a zero volt reading. This gave me a headache for three weeks before I found out that with DC measurements you have to change the mode from AC to DC and don't keep that setting when you turn it off. Had to return it because despite the accuracy and complexity promised you get different readings every time that seem wrong by a wide margin unlike my old , dented odometer which always still works fine. The cord warning is very confusing, not sure if it's to remind you to change cord positions or plug cords into a different outlet, hard to find a mention of it in the manual either.
