I also like the design that allows you to connect wires.

This is my first high-end multimeter. The previous ones were cheaper multimeters for hobbyists, and while I'm interested in electronics, when I was looking for an upgrade I wanted something high quality. Measurements are quick and very accurate. Everything is solid and doesn't look cheap at all. I'm very impressed with the leads. I also like the design that allows you to connect wires to the included alligator clips so you can easily switch between clamping and probing. Price it had to comeโ€ฆ

By default, AC power is measured at power-up.

I received this meter and took it with me on a customer run for first use. I was trying to measure an OEM battery voltage for someone wanting to extend the range and it gave me a zero volt reading. This gave me a headache for three weeks before I found out that with DC measurements you have to change the mode from AC to DC and don't keep that setting when you turn it off. Once I figured it out, it was a pretty good gauge for most of my needs. There is a dongle with a magnetic strap which isโ€ฆ

  • Annual trial period
Cons
  • Hard to say

Don't waste your money - this isn't a true RMS DMM

For those who care, the Klein MM700 measures AC current the same way the MM600 does, there's almost no difference between the devices, even the properties are almost the same. I learned this by measuring a 6-17kHz 5-40V signal (nothing out of the ordinary) on an oscilloscope with a Simpson Electric Co parallel DMM (professional piece of equipment from the 1980's) which now no longer works , has read. For example, the peak-to-peak amplitude measured on an oscilloscope is +/-10V peak-to-peak andโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Poorly designed

Incomprehensible set up, use and poor accuracy

Had to return it because despite the accuracy and complexity promised you get different readings every time that seem wrong by a wide margin unlike my old , dented odometer which always still works fine. The cord warning is very confusing, not sure if it's to remind you to change cord positions or plug cords into a different outlet, hard to find a mention of it in the manual either. I suspect you have to be a professional electrician to use this thing, but in that case he or she probably won'tโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Hands free
Cons
  • Very expensive
