They come apart in the middle for easy washing, which keeps them from getting moldy. They don't squirt as well as squirties that don't come apart, but they last longer. Absolutely love this gift set. We have a 2 year old but pretty much everything in the set still applies to her. Everything in the set is dishwasher safe (except the teether I suppose). The teething toy doesn't come with any information or tag so I just keep it in our freezer. Our 2 year old LOVES the added independence she gets from the snack cup. Munchkin makes very nice quality baby and toddler feeding items. This is a great set for that around one year of age time. everything is dishwasher safe and also mouth safe because the little ones love to put everything in their mouths. Durable and safe and fun to look at 2.
