Ideal for the debut project.

Balance the new Ortofon on my Project Debut turntable. I installed it in less than 2 seconds and rotated another 2 seconds to even it out. Tested on Metallica + San Francisco Symphony II.

Pros
  • Music Hall Counterbalance MCWT75
Cons
  • No Instructions

A must have accessory if you want to use heavier cartridges.

Works on my Pro-ject Debut (Original) turntable so I can use heavier cartridges! After I bought the Nagaoka MP-110 cartridge, I found that it weighs 6.5g and my counterbalance only works with cartridges up to 6g. I got this one, it works perfectly.

Pros
  • 75 grams
Cons
  • Has disadvantages

Fits Pro-Ject Debut III

I have a Pro-Ject Debut III turntable. I removed the Ortofon OM 5E MM cartridge and installed a heavier Audio-Technica AT-MONO3/LP/MC cartridge to create a custom mono player. The stock tonearm weight (65g) should be placed far enough back on the arm that the hinged acrylic top cannot open/close without forcing a weight on the arm forward. This weight (75g) is the correct arm weight for a heavier cartridge and now I can open and close the top as intended.

Pros
  • Project number: 1940 875 001
Cons
  • No machine
