It's on SATA interface. 2013 and 2014 and 2015 version MacBook Air SSD has contact on both sides, one side is 16+12 pin, the other side is 11+14 pin, size is 89 mm*24 mm. It's on PCIe X4 interface. 2013 and 2014 and 2015 version MacBook Pro SSD is both side have contact, one side is 16+12 pin, the other side is 11+14 pin, size is 89 mm*33 mm. Amazingly Versatile MacBook SSD Enclosure Adapter!

After trying this accessory I was blown away by its versatility! Questionable design and incompatibility with Mid 2013 MacBook Air A1466

The Mustpoint Caddy USB 3.0 SSD Enclosure Adapter listing states that it is compatible with a wide range of MacBook OEM SSDs. At the time of purchase, there weren't any product reviews to confirm or disprove this claim, so I tried my luck. My goal was to recover data from an original SSD that was removed from a water damaged MacBook Air A1466 mid 2013.
