it's much better easy to use and clean

Our acrylic version fell apart and finally found this replacement, it's much better easy to use and clean. and doesn't stick and probably isn't as toxic. If you like spam sushi you should get this.

It is what it is and the musubi is delicious!

Can't complain. While there are cheap ways to make your own musubi maker, this one fits the bill, safe and repeatable. The plastic has a "rough" surface so it won't stick to the rice, but is still easy to clean. Simple and perfect.

Pros
  • A dream come true
Cons
  • Damaged

Musubi is easy to pot

This is a sturdy kit (2 pieces, mold and rice potting tool) for making Spam Musubi. Trial and error requires more pressure on the rice to get the right rectangle (although many musubi makers recommend using a piece of nori to wrap it around the width of the rice itself, rather than just a strip). Useful and less messy than trying to do it by hand!

Pros
  • Enjoyable
Cons
  • No mold required

The perfect spam tool!

I've been looking for one of these in all my Asian grocery stores and surprisingly couldn't find any. Finally gave up and bought this especially for his uniform. I don't know why but I wasn't interested in clear acrylics with sharp corners because spam has rounded corners hahahaha. I'm sure they work fine. This one is perfect, the rice doesn't stick, it's so easy to use and clean, and for the price? Theft. There are zero complaints here.

Works perfectly! in the kitchen and dining room

This works great if you know how to do it right. The mold and stamp must be damp so that they can be easily removed. Keep a bowl of water nearby and wet both parts after each use. When the masubi is done, leave the plunger in place and remove the mold by pressing both ends of the plunger with your thumbs and sliding the mold up. Nice quality plastic. I'm not a fan of gadgets, I hate everything that has only one purpose in the kitchen but is necessary for making musubi. Lots of videos on the…

  • Hard-wearing surface
Cons
  • Not bad

IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR MUSUBI SHAPES THIS IS THE ONE! :)

I am very happy with my purchase. After reading the good reviews I decided to take it and I don't regret it at all. It's super lightweight, definitely non-stick, easy to use, wash and clean, AND THE BEST PART is the plastic is soft to the touch yet SUPER durable. As a spam musubi lover, I cook this dish from time to time. I used to just use a real spam jar as a template. It worked, but never in the way I would have liked and that's such a problem. With this shape, rice and spam come out perfect

Pros
  • Regular price
Cons
  • Annoying

A must have product that will fit in any drawer

My husband and I just heard about this Hawaiian delicacy Spam Musubi and we were dying to try it. We encountered several issues: no musubi makers, no nori sheets, and no furikake. We have a lot of these in Northwest Kansas, but the Asian grocery store isn't one of them. Even if spam should be exploitable, removing the top and bottom while looking at the current spam jar will not happen without serious injury. So now everything is ready to do as much as we want. Our first batch was a complete…

Best $10 I Ever Spent

This Musubi Spam Rice Shape is the Best Invention! For example, where has it been all my adult life to eat spam? It's the perfect size! (just the size of a spam jar) It's easy to use. Sturdy, not flimsy at all. Easy to clean. & Not sticky! Just a little tip before I figured out how to use it I did it wrong. I'm used to my old primitive method of shoving rice into an actual spam jar with a rubber spatula, then punching it out of the jar into seaweed paper. In any case, as I said, primitive! But…
