Yes it's true it's not 100% tight as other reviews have said. For me it doesn't matter at all. I personally switched to this container as I used to use a mug to clean my night shield and it just didn't work. I bought this to use with Invisalign hoping to store my braces and cleaning solution in an airtight container I mean can always have me. Handbag, because I'm often on the go. I liked the idea of this case, but basically it was a holey, clumsy failure. A small tray that pivots so you can lift your aligners/mouthguard/other equipment is a great idea, but it's not always easy to work with. Half the time I ended up throwing my aligners on random surfaces in public restrooms to get them out. Damned.

Not quite tight as advertised. If it were sealed it would cost no more than $10 and would come with a cleaning brush. I paid $15 and that's double what it's worth. I would have given more stars if it was $5 as is or was $10 and sealed with an accessory. I'm glad I have it but still feel cheated by the price and promise.

I use this for a small nightguard and assume it is made for large sports mouthguards. Either way, it's well made and the fact that it doesn't leak is important when traveling. I keep mine in mouthwash when not in use to prevent that nasty buildup that happens otherwise.
